Homemade Device Thrown At Car In Shelby County, AL

ABC3340— Police in Shelby County, Alabama are urging drivers to stay alert after a family discovered a spiked, screw-covered object lodged in their car’s front bumper. The family said they heard a loud thump while driving home from a bowling outing but didn’t stop in the dark; once home, they found the device and handed it over to authorities. Investigators say it appears to be a homemade item and note they’ve never encountered anything like it before, though they have not yet identified who it belongs to.

Man Sets Home On Fire After Argument On Thanksgiving

NY Post— An Illinois man was arrested on Thanksgiving after allegedly setting his family’s home on fire following an argument. Relatives said he had been antagonizing people in the house and left after tensions rose, but returned about an hour later, ignited his bedroom, and fled as the flames spread. Police later found him hiding at a storage facility and charged him with aggravated and residential arson. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and no one was injured.
